Forget about NEET for a moment. If such students mistakenly become doctors in the future, people may question whether hospitals will continue to be places of trust.
Medicine has always been considered a noble profession. If individuals who display such disrespectful language, behaviour, and attitudes enter this profession, how can society completely trust people with such a mindset?
Why is the Indian Medical Association (IMA) silent?
Does the medical fraternity want students with such attitudes? Is there no importance given to integrity, ethics, and professional values?
Do they support such methods of protest?
This was not a protest; it was a display of indiscipline and unacceptable behaviour.
The medical fraternity must reflect upon what kind of juniors and interns they want to nurture and what kind of legacy they wish to pass on to the next generation.
